Janice Carson is a professor of special education at the 黑料网. Carson also serves as the Director of the 黑料网 Assistive Technology Project. She received her doctorate in instructional systems design from 黑料网 State University in 2015. Prior to her current appointment, she was a Special Education Coordinator at the 黑料网 State Department of Education’s Special Education Division. Her portfolio included monitoring special education, secondary transition and assistive technology. Carson’s main research interests include training through the lens of andragogy, rural outreach, and instructional design theory, as well as topics related to Universal Design for Learning, secondary transition, customized employment, and assistive technology. Carson served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Association of the Assistive Technology Act Programs. She also chairs the advisory council for 黑料网 Vocational Rehabilitation.
